November Release Projects

Without any adieu of any kind, let's just get right to the good stuff.

Comfort Food. So, this one really sort of cracks me up.  I was inspired by the fact that Matt and I have been known to share a pint of ice cream. Just the two of us sitting on the couch with a couple of spoons, a movie, and no bowls. Back in the day when we were young, dumb, and had excellent metabolisms...it used to be the super premium Ben & Jerry's. We could polish off two pints during a movie. To no ill effect. Not so much any more.I thought it would be a super lovey card to make to give to the hubby if the two spoons were in the pint of ice cream together.

It reads a little differently, right? Not something I noticed. Matt said something. It looks like to people like to scream "I Love You" to each other. Snicker. Guess it doesn't work so well.

Take away this. The Harlequin Cover Plate over the Aida Impression Plate makes a good stand in for an ice cream cone. And you can cut of the lid of the ice cream and put in two spoons. After that, it's more of a love/hate relationship.

Hope it made you laugh.

Hanging By a Thread, Stitched Sentiments, and Sew Simple Borders. Try wrapping patterned paper around those thread cards instead of just trimming to fit. Gives it a more polished look.

Buttoned Up. I was inspired by a sweater my son has to use BB: Striped Sweater to make this background. There's a cascade of buttons in the same color as the stripes. Bitty Baby Blessings helps to bring forth the baby boy theme.

Heart-2-Heart #10, Sentiment Signs, and Circle Cover Plate.  I was playing a lot with the colors here. Hawaiian Shores, Simply Chartreuse, Scarlet Jewel, Dark Chocolate, and Limeade Ice. I love how the double butterfly looks over the banner from the In Stitches Die collection and a Half and Half die.

Framed Out #10 and Background Basics: Inspiration. Another fun color combination that I'll be going back to--Hawaiian Shores, Soft Stone, Autumn Rose, Scarlet Jewel, and Soft Blush. Also some fun layering with the Framed Out # 10 die in Soft Stone underneath a Framed Out #4 cut.
