Day 3 Boutique Accessories Collection

Welcome back folks. Time for some more ideas using the new Boutique Accessories stamp set and Boutique Accessory Card die from Papertrey Ink. I decided just to focus on the packaging today to show you some additional possibilities. I'll be putting the Clever Barrette Covers aside just for today. I had to force myself, mind you.

The Boutique Accessory Card was originally designed specifically just for the Clever Barrette Covers. When you are in the design process, at least for me, you get a touch of tunnel vision. It wasn't until I got the physical  die in my hot little hands that my mind started dreaming up possibilities. Today, I acted on those possibilities. Let's show you what you can do beyond the barrette.

Today, I made some handmade jewelry in blue tones. All findings are from Michaels', so if you are interested in recreating any of that, head ye to the nearest bead aisle. I'm rather clueless in that arena, but I did manage to scrape a few little things together, specifically this necklace and earring ensemble.

In the bowed portion of the Boutique Accessory die, there are two sections of double slits and three sections of double holes. They are not connected, so those holes can hold earrings, like they are doing here. I cut the bowed section out of vellum and hid the extra slits  and holes with Mat Stack 4 cut out of Enchanted Evening Damask Patterned Paper. Limitless Layers 1.75" Circles are placed on top (stamped with Tag-Its #12) and provide a lovely focal point with the earrings. The back card is stamped with the new Boutique Accessories  stamp set.

Next up, this lovely necklace. I was thrilled to find this locket style pendant. I was able to take a 1" circle punch and create the embellishment that is locked inside. It is all PTI in there with a rose from Simply Jane stamped in Enchanted Evening and an initial in white using the Block Alphabet dies.  I cut the Button Boutique Card out of Aqua Mist Damask patterned paper and stamped the frame and Vintage Finds from the Button Boutique card.

Let me take you through the steps to make this modified Boutique Accessory Card to hold a necklace.

First die cut and decorate the main card portion of the Boutique Accessory Card. Punch holes and cut slits on either side of the hanger hole.

Place your necklace on the card and thread through the holes. The slits come in handy here. Just slip the chain down them.

I cut the Seed Packet die and assembled, then cut an inch off the top to shorten it. This got adhere to the back of the Boutique Accessory Card and held the remainder of the chain.

Next, I cut the card portion of Boutique Accessory Card die and stamped the top with the Boutique Accessory set. I then used the bowed portion of the die to cut just a topper and maintain the curve in the label.

This is what you get after you run it through your die cut machine. Disregard the bottom portion or save it for another project.

Add foam adhesive to the back and place on the front of your project, on top of the chain.
