Hello and welcome back for Day 2 of Papertrey Ink's 6th Anniversary activities. Today is about the stamp designers. (Seriously, can't believe I am one of them!) And also about winning one of six custom stamp sets. With your own name on them. WOW! Can I enter? That seems like a FANTASTIC set. Good luck to all who give it a go.
If you go to Nichole's blog today, you'll see a download for images from all of the stamp designers. I've got a little flamingo image. Create a card using one of them and upload to Nichole's blog for a chance to win. Easy as that.
I went ahead and created a fun, over-the-top card with my little feathered friend. I enlarged her a bit. She's a bit sassy, wearing her necklace and sunglasses--thinking she's all that and a bag of chips. I paired her up with an oh-so-appropriate sentiment from Friends-Til-the-End and Silhouette Cameo cut palm leaves in Limeade Ice Bitty Dot and Simply Chartreuse Polka Dot Patterned Paper. Everything is mounted on Berry Sorbet Gingham.
I honestly can't describe myself as an artist, or illustrator, or graphic designer. I'm just a girl having fun and creating products that I want to work with. That's especially true this month with what I have coming up. Can't wait for you to see! I'm inspired by my kids, my family, and filling a few holes in my personal collection. I hope you enjoy what I've done so far with Party Poppers and Background Basics: Striped Sweater and I'm looking forward to showing you more of what is rattling around in my brain over the next year and beyond.
Thanks for stopping by. And thanks to Papertrey for giving me such an incredible opportunity. I'd have never imagined this is what I would be doing career-wise back in college when I was milking cows, candling eggs, and chasing sheep around a pasture. What a strange trip it's been, aye?
OMG, such a cute "Miss Sassy." I love the patterned paper leaves. I have to make leaves with those papers.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable, and I love those palm leaves cut from patterned paper.
ReplyDeleteThis is super adorable...love the palms, too!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I love your creation but I have to be honest I liked your little ditty on college and chasing sheep, milking cows, checking for fertilized eggs and the like even more. I am a firm believer that children are twice blest when growing up on a farm and having mom there to put the band-aids on...I remember going through a lot of boxes of those when my 2 were young. I had the double joy but alas my finances did not afford my 2 the same blessing, but I can tell you I had some of my very fondest memories on the farm, running about the back 40! Thanks Lara
ReplyDeleteVery cute... I can see 40 of these on a card instead of someone's lawn ;-)
ReplyDeleteGiggling...... Adorable :D love it!!
ReplyDeleteThis just made me smile all over my face! Love it!
ReplyDeleteMy niece is a flamingo fanatic! Can't wait to make her a little somethin'! Thanks for the inspiration and the image!
ReplyDeleteSo very cute, Erin. I am looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us this year. Like I said on Nichole's blog, I love that you leave your kids a little something on their bedside table at night and I am inspired by that. I'd love to do something like that for my kids when we start our new school year in August but would love to start on projects now. :) This flamingo cracks me up!!
ReplyDelete"thinking she's all that and a bag of chips"!!! LOVE that:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the FUNNNN freebie!
Flamingoes.....I'm so happy. Love their grace and beauty and this one is awesome.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute and happy card!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your fun Erin, (and the inspiration).
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to read the unabashed enthusiasm the PTI team has for what they do. Looking forward to seeing what stamp designs you have in store for us this year.
ReplyDeleteHow darling! This is going to be a fun year, I can tell! Thanks for all the great ideas you've turned into product & for today's freebie!
ReplyDeleteSo excited for you! Eager to see what you have in store for us this year. My former youth group did a fundraiser using flamingos. People paid to have them put on others lawns, and you had to pay to get them off, or you could buy insurance. It was a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteLove the tree frons and the flamingo great card so summery. Wonderful card.
