And another Papertrey Ink Release comes to a close. It's such a sprint from around the 8th to the 13th for us. A fun one. In about a week, I'll be craving to do it all over again. But until then, there's laundry to be done, long walks to take, movie nights to cuddle through with the littles. But before I hit all that, I'm here to post the rest of my release projects.
Happiness In Bloom. I went all bold with this one. With a lot of the multi step florals being released (Sweet Life, Rosie Posie Two Step) I'm going to explore the idea of stamping the second layer stamp with Versamark and heat embossing with clear powder. I did that here on the leaves. Lots of possibilities there I think.
Sketched Shapes. Oh, I know you all love this one! The more you use it, the more you like it. In fact, I don't even think this set was assigned to us for an individual project. And here I made one anyway. It is just irresistible.
On this one in particular I stamped a pattern with the large triangle. First in Melon Berry, then rotated it 90 degrees counterclockwise and stamped in Berry Sorbet. I die cut a third triangle out of white cardstock. The patterned just got repeated and this is the result. Sentiment is from Tweet Talk.
Handy Hardware. This was a fun pairing with Handy Hardware and the manger stamp from Nativity Silhouettes. I drew in the nails with a pen. I showed Matt, all proud of myself for making this tremendously masculine card. He snorted and said, "No Dad would make a house that looks like that." Whatever! So literal those guys sometimes.
7th Inning Stretch. Lizzie is the go-to-gal for guy themed sets. Try cutting the bat out of balsa wood and wrap the handle with washi tape for a realistic touch.
I created a frame and did some stamping with the banner stamp from Sketched Shapes set. Stars die cut from Star Gazer dies. (Seriously...how fab are those...the perfect little stars.). I recently bought these large packs of rhinestones from Michaels. They are the store's Recollections brand. In the pack, are the smallest rhinestones I've ever seen. They fit nicely on the stars I think.
Thanks for hanging in with me this week. And for all the wonderful comments. They make me smile too. Maybe not as big as that chubby cheeked little girl of mine, but pretty darn close.
