Oh boy...it is Day 1 of the October release countdown for Papertrey Ink. And do I ever have stuff to show you. I've got quite a bit of stuff being released on October 15th. It's a bit of a whirlwind of paper and ink around these here parts.
I'm super enthused about everything. Particularly two stamp sets (and of course the matching dies) I have coming out called Come All Ye Faithful and Come All Ye Faithful Additions. I am a bit of a sassy pants (wonder where my daughter gets it?) and I poured quite a bit of that dubious character trait into these two sets. Want some holiday humor? Coming right at you. Let's go ahead and get started.
Here we have a trio of pups playing in the snow with their sweaters on. I wanted to go ahead right off the bat and show you all the dogs included in Come All Ye Faithful. We've got a Rottweiler/Boston Terrier, a dachshund, and a Schnauzer/Jack Russell. Each one comes with two different sweater patterns to wear and separate stamps for the cuffs, for maximum mix and match potential
The Schnauzer/Jack Russell in particular has a more forward facing profile. This allows for you to add a little something extra to his sweater. I'm sure, if you are like me, you have a ton of little bitty icon stamps that can be pulled from other sets. I used a snowflake from In the Meadow to add an extra detail to his sweater.
Also included in the set, are a few "winter" themed sentiments that can be used outside the holidays. This one is a sweet little something to send a friend over those long cold months we have coming up ahead.
Next up, I want to focus on the Come All Ye Faithful Additions set. This set has the accessories for dressing up your dogs in holiday style as well as even more humorous sentiments. The Rottweiler/Boston Terrier and dachshund each have one outfit each. The Jack Russel/Schnauzer has two, including this one. It just ticked my funny bone to have this dog playing Rudolph in anticipation of the holidays.
Remember Background Basics: Striped Sweater? Works great as a coordinate to this product line. Here I used it vertically as a background element. And if you notice the design on the Jack Russell/Schnauzer sweater in the first card, it might be a perfect match:).
I used the Come All Ye Faithful Addition dies to cut a Pure Poppy felt nose for added texture. Absolutely every accessory in the additions set has a matching die. Which is so much fun. I bet there are several other animals in your stamp collection who could make use of them as well.
The sentiment "Come! they told me" is from Come All Ye Faithful. I like to include a few sentiments in my sets that can be completed on the inside, so we have the next line of the song stamped in just such a spot with the intention that it garners a smile from those receiving it.
Shifting gears a bit, I've also got the Stitching Lines dies coming out this month. You asked, we answered. This die set has 11 (yes...I said 11!) different lengths of my stitching holes from Clever Barrette Covers and Coffee Cozy Collection dies to use on your projects. This way, you can add them to absolutely whatever you want. FABULOUS! On this card, I cut the narrow banner from the Sketched Shapes die collection in four different colors of felt (there's two new colors this month!), trimmed off the tails, and used one of the eleven die lengths to add stitching holes. I stitched them up in matching floss colors and added them to a Smokey Shadow card base. A glitter star from the Seeing Stars Collection and a sentiment embossed in white powder from the new City Scenes Sentiments finishes off this simple card. Lots of impact.
Okey-dokey. That's it for me today. But I'm just scratching the surface here. Lots more holiday humor coming your way over the next four days. These dogs get all sorts of trouble.:)
I hope you like what you see. Remember, these products and more will be available to purchase at www.papertreyink.com on October 15th...just in time for your holiday card making.

Oh my gosh! These dogs in their sweaters are so darn cute! What a pity I live in the Southern Hemisphere where Christmas day can be boiling hot and no one would wear a jersey! But I think I will get this anyway because there is nothing a dog lover likes so much as anything with a dog on it!!

ReplyDeleteErin, of course the dogs in their sweaters are VERY cute, but I would have to say the "MERCI" card is my favorite...because I would never think to use felt blocks the way you did...love the contrast! :) And a respectful correction: "Come, they told me" and "Pa rum pum pum pum" are both lines from "Little Drummer Boy", not "Come All Ye Faithful". :) "Little Drummer Boy" is one of my all-time favorite Christmas songs, so thank you for paying it a bit of a tribute here! :) And thanks, as always, for the inspiration! :)
