Love Me Some Hero Arts

Oh la la la! Always fun this time of year with new stamps hitting the shelves. Especially when it is Hero's biggest release of the year. Bought some for myself and then got hooked up on some more by the always talented Jennifer McGuire. Sitting down with never before inked stamps is blissful. Wanna see what I made?

Loving the kitchy cool of the cuckoo clock. Punched out the clock face (stamped in red) and added a scalloped circle to make this cuckoo dimensional. I masked off the chimes and added little hearts from an older set. Cling Dots is put to work too. Sentiment screams to me "I'm the crazy girl who stalks you in the grocery store parking lot, would you be my Valentine". I guess you could slip the card under his windshield wiper and follow him home. Does anybody know where Matthew Morrison buys his corn flakes?

The bike is ADORABLE. One day Matt's going to surprise me with a cruiser style bike with basket for my birthday. I've put in the request for years:). And the heart doily stamp. Sigh. I will purge my stash for years and years and can already tell these two stamps will make the cut time and time again. Epoxy hearts are a steal at Joann's right now for $1.20. You get a lot in a pack. Woven strip is from Silhouette and sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

This time the rectangle doily, embossed in white, and topped off with Basic Grey Rub-ons. Good basic for your collection. Lots of embellishments can go on top.

And this card has actually been on the back burner for a long time. The big circle doily (do we see a trend in what I like?) got me off the design fence. Hero's got a lot of circle stamps. Fun to stack them in different colors. Sentiment is from an oldie, but goodie set. Love combining everything.

That's it for now, but going to need your help soon. I've got new curtains in my office and on the hunt for the perfect rug. Maybe you know where I can find THE one. I'm having no luck with my usual haunts. I'll post a picture soon.

  6. Erin, have you tried Kmart for rugs. As a last resort, I went in for a halloween costume and came out with an area rug and new curtains.I was amazed at all the improvements they've made and the new lines they are carrying. Very updated stuff at GREAT prices.

  8. I ordered the rectangle doily and it is definitely NOT the doily you show in your sample.
