Quick & Easy Gifts

Group post night for Papertrey Ink is here! This month's project features the new Tiny Treats Christmas set. So cute. My list is long with names of good little boys and girls who are going to get little treats packaged up nicely with these stamps. Fortunately, with a little cleverness and ingenuity, I can make everybody happy for very little dough.  Scrooge would be out of luck if he was looking to be grouchy about this type of holiday gift giving.

First of, here's my project using not only the new stamp set, but a new Favor It Box. It's filled with some Choxie treats from the beloved Tar-jay.

Here's how the consumable supplies breakdown. Cost for the project including 6 (OK...it's only 5, I ate one) gourmet chocolates  is $1.64. It's hard to buy a basic cup of coffee for that price, more less a cute Christmas goodie bag full of yumminess. But honestly, you can't even buy something packaged this nice. PTI helps you make something better than you can find in the store. Don't you agree?

Couple other tips. The new Favor It Box is larger than the original. You have to cut two of the same piece to make one box. If you want to use an Impression Plate to add some texture, it is totally manageable in two steps.  Just run it through once with the edge of the plate on the score line.

And then flip it and do the same with the bottom.

Also, I stamped up some Avery Labels with Background Basics Distressed Strips to make candy labels. Looks candy cane-ish. The sentiment on the candies matches the sentiment on the box. Love that.

Be sure to check out the other projects by the team. They'll have you humming Christmas Carols before you get to the end. Thanks for stopping by!

  13. Erin- I love your work.

I have attempted to make the Peace be Still gift tags that you have posted over at PTI. I was wondering how you keep the cardstock and the impression plate straight? You do a similar technique here. Mine keep slipping, and it doesn't look so good.

    Thanks, Teri
