Signature Series Showcase

We're back again for a second group posting this month with the November PTI release. Tonight, it's all about Dawn's new Signature Series stamps.  After getting the stamps/dies and spending some time playing with them, I found they lend themselves to lots of fun techniques. Let me show you what I mean with the Dress Form.

Check out these lovely ladies. Each unique. I had some fun coming up with a few new ways to use the die and stamps together. You'll have to forgive the lack of step by step photos, as I did this late at night without adequate photography lighting. But I can walk you through how I did it. Here's how:

1. Die cut dress form using thin printer paper.
2. Position the negative stencil created by die on your project. Use Post-It note to mask off the dress form stand. Use ink applicator tool (Tim Holtz for Ranger) to fill in the color. Before you remove the stencil, stamp your pattern in black.
3. Remove stencil. Ink up just the stand portion of your dress form stamp in black and stamp on your project to complete your dress forms.
4. Embellish at will.

Fun, no? The sweet sentiment is a lovely positive affirmation for girls of all ages. I'm hoping to give this tag to my good friend for her to use on her daughter when a pick up is needed. Oh, and my favorite part? That ribbon tutu! I will so be doing this again.

How about a card? I love how the Fillable Frame #10 die and stamp looks like a mirror in which this lovely pink lady is admiring her figure. The sentiment "bliss" and "enjoy the moment" is very appropriate for a girlfriend who is relishing in some type of personal or profession success.

And that, my friends, wraps up another crazy countdown for me. Check out what all my partners in crime have up their sleeves tonight. All this creativity should be illegal in the lower 48 states.

  18. I have always been a fan of your work. When you joined the papertrey team I was estatic. I think it is a match made in heaven. I do love all the things you have made for this release. A question though. I notice you and Dawn have that circle with the spikes holding up your cards. What is that and where do you get one? It looks like it is great for photographing cards.
    Thanks,
    Samantha
