Door to Door
It's the first day of the group posts for the Papertrey Ink Design Team. Tonight we are featuring a fun and oh-so-unique set called Door to Door. Seeing as it is designed by Nichole, you know that it's going to be absolutely amazing and versatile. I'm truly amazed that she keeps coming up with such great ideas and must have sets.
I'm sure you've read up on all the details on Nichole's blog. All about the doors and the dies and the accessories. In creating this card, I felt a little like Martha Stewart creating a scene for a magazine spread. Just absolutely delightful with the pots, urns, and fillers.
I created a fall scene and utilized the pumpkins, mums, and leaves in the set to make my homey front porch.
Now, for artistic reasons, I purposely didn't stamp the top of the door. I wanted the focus to be more on the floor level. Also a great way to use the set when you have a panel that isn't particularly long height wise. I also pulled in the brick patio and dog from Lisa's Chairished set. Both are sized nicely to work with all of the Door to Door elements.
And now, how about that banner? I will be using this on everything. It will be the finishing touch on a lot of my projects in the future. It's in the same category as the sun rays from Nativity Silhouettes and the bows in Bells & Boughs with it's usefulness extending far beyond the given set.
Because I wanted to present a Halloween theme, I decorated my scene with some cobwebs from Been Boo'd. I love pulling out old sets and using them on new projects like this.
Look for more seasonal and themed projects using Door to Door tonight at the online homes off all these fabulous ladies and I'll be back tomorrow with another project for you.
