Love and Marriage

I've got the old Frank Sinatra classic playing loops in my head right now, don't you? :)

We're back again tonight with projects using one of PTI's Valentine's Day offerings--Love and Marriage. Truly a versatile set. Covers all the "love" holidays and occasions. As well as offers up a tree graphic that can be used for just about anything. What more could you ask for?

I wanted to focus on creating a project that you could slip in your husband's briefcase. Let's make it all prim and proper on the front and leave room on the back for something a little racy (wink, wink). It's got to be suitably masculine, thus the colors of Blueberry Sky, Enchanted Evening, and Pure Poppy and the use of that tree graphic..

I busted out my calendar page die because when trimmed, the tree image fits nicely inside the notches. Granted, I could put notches where ever I feel like, but it's nice sometimes not to have to do the work. I used Journaling Lines as a background strip. Nice how the dots on the lines coordinate with the dotted frame of the tree.

Love and Marriage includes two itty bitty graphic sayings within a rectangle. They make a great banner.

And because my note was looking more and more like a postcard, I slapped on some postage and a cancellation stamp (from the set). Got to make it real love mail, right?

Hope I've tempted you. It's really a great set to own for lots of different occasions. Pop on by the other PTI blogs to see what everybody has been up to--there's a great famous couples background stamp that I'm sure is going to get tons of gorgeous play with this feature.

  1. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this! The colors, the style, the details, the tiny flags (swoon!) I think you hit a home run with this one, with each detail perfectly fitting into an overall plan.

  3. Thanks Erin, I was trying to get Andy Willaims and the song Moon River out of my head (heard a reference on NPR tonight) -- it is now replaced with some rocking Frank Sinatra ! Either way both remind me of my parents so I guess they are not so bad.
    Love your projects!
