A Little Creative Gift

Both kids are happy and content. I'd be spoiling that if I got up and tried to do something. Ever been there? Best to just sit here, be inconspicuous, and put up a fun blog post.

Here's a little something that didn't get picked up for a "use paint on a project" call. Which is fine...means I can share it here. I think it's a pretty cool idea. Especially if you've got some watercolor pencils laying around collecting dust. I was inspired by these $1 Magic Paint Poster packs I got for my niece and nephew at Michael's. They have black and white line drawings with a paint palette on the same page. The kid wets a paintbrush, swipes it on the paint pallette to get some color, and colors away at the image. You can do the exact same thing with watercolor crayons/pencils and stamped images on watercolor paper.

I had the perfect stamp to use for my "palette" by Make An Impression. But absolutely any of their Frame-Up series will do. I used #17.

Thanks for stopping by--hope you are inspired. It's a really fun project to make to give to a friend who needs a little creative time. I have a hard time not using it myself!

  17. I am using this idea using Lawn Fawn critters to make uber cute kids cards. And to think that my watercolor pencils were in the box for charity! Good thing it takes me over 3 months to drop the stuff off. I have never used them and won't for anthing but this. Such an awesome idea!! You are a project goddess!!!
