October Release Projects

I'm here for one last October Release Post for Papertrey Ink. Got lots to share. All this holiday goodness. And a few things non-holiday, because sometimes too much Christmas isn't a good thing:). I like breaking it up a bit. Let's get started.

Menorah Medley. It's a bit hard to see, but these look gorgeous in real life. I impressed the dies into Night Sky and Gold Shimmer Cardstock using this technique. A sentiment was stamped in Enchanted Evening on the Gold Shimmer. I left the Night Sky Shimmer sentiment-less. It really didn't need anything extra. I'm not going to be able to put these tags to good use, so the first person who wants them and leaves me an email address (or other way of contacting you for an address), I'll be happy to send them along. I'd hate for them to go to waste.

Beautiful Blessings: Holiday and Super Stripes. I was inspired by Dawn's Glitter Tab video for the focal point. Royal Velvet ink on Royal Velvet cardstock I think adds some pageantry to the card. Again, this card is one I'm willing to send out in the world for somebody else to use. So the first person who gives me some contact info, I'll pop it in the mail for.

Over Under Easy and Super Stripes. I adore this sentiment. Totally something I am going to get a lot of use out of. I stamped the Super Stripes on a Fabulous Frames die and added Scor-Tape over the images to add glitter.

Heart-2-Heart #9 and Over Under Easy. More embossing powder love. And the heart swag fits nicely on the door banner on the Door to Door die collection. The birdies are cut out of Aqua Mist felt. I love that I have symmetrical birds...lots of uses for those.

Layered Postmarks and Over Under Easy. This is my favorite card from today. All about the emboss resist. I made sure my ink was one shade darker then the cardstock underneath for more of a contrast. Simply Chartreuse over Limemade Ice, Autumn Rose over Soft Blush, and Hawaiian Shores over Aqua Mist.

Snowflake Flurries and Think Big Favorites #21.  These shapes are so versatile and modern. Remind me of folded paper rosettes when they are layered over each other a bit.

Winter Hills and BB: Striped Sweater.I think that sometimes the most beautiful sunsets happen in the winter, which is what inspired me to layer Autumn Rose, Blueberry Sky, and Enchanted Evening Ink in the sky. The snowman is actually from Home for the Holidays and the Home for the Holidays die collection. There's a smaller snowman on the actual Winter Hills stamp, but I wanted to pop him up without a lot of hassle, so I used this bigger one instead.

Hope you enjoyed everything. I'll be back next month with another stamp set(!!!) and more projects, in not before with my stash of cards sitting on my computer that I need to share. Or even some Halloween projects. Man, I need to get the "Been Boo'd" thing going in the neighborhood. Time to start some mischief.

More release projects can be found here. Happy browsing.

  3. Love your projects today, especially those tags. I'm going to make some like that myself. Just a thought for you--as your kids go through school, they will likely as not have some Jewish teachers. A holiday gift at Chanukah, rather than Christmas, is a very thoughtful way to personalize your gift. And, don't discount it even if you are sending them to parochial school. My mom taught at a private Catholic elementary school for many, many years. You may must need to make some more of those gorgeous tags.

  6. Wow, Erin! I don't celebrate Hanukkah, but your tags make me wish I did. Love those so very much! Your Tis the Season card with the Snowflake Flurries is my favorite one that I've seen yet using this set.
