Funky Florals

Look at this...a surprise Papertrey Ink post just a day before the countdown begins. How fun is that?

Today the design team is featuring the Customer Appreciation set for 2012 called "Funky Florals". It's designed to go with the Notched Flower dies. So nice to get some stamps to go with that. I'm sure I'll get around to using them together in the future. Not this time, however. I got as far as stamping them out on a scratch piece of paper before inspiration struck.

To me, when the three flowers are stamped on top of each other in a gradient of color (smallest flower being the darkest hue), the effect looks like tie dye. Not far from this technique from Stamp-A-Faire's Summer Camp back in July. Now in addition to Nichole's three fabulous techniques, you've got one more and all you have to do is bust out a stamp set.

In this particular project, I stamped Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, and Enchanted Evening. I also used a sponge to apply soft ink to the very centers in Aqua Mist.

I teamed "Funky Florals" up with Flipping Out and Aloha to complete my summer vibe card. Sigh. In the middle of January, we can't get further from this, huh? Wishful thinking. At least we can stamp it.

Funky Florals (a $15 value) will be available for customers as a FREE bonus with qualifying orders placed before 11:30pm EST, January 14th. To qualify for the set, the order total needs to equal $100 or more before shipping and without Rewards Points discounts. Funky Florals is a limited edition set that will never be available for purchase, so be sure to get yours while they are available during this special holiday promotional period!

Thanks for stopping by. More from me in a few days.
