September Release Wrap Up

This is it! We've made it to the end. All that's left of the Papertrey Ink September Release is to post final projects, clean up the disaster that is my office, and take a long, well deserved nap. I shall not delay on anything but perhaps the clean up:).

Holiday Home and Snow Drift Cover Plate: This comes together so easily with big results I think. Not unlike last month's Mighty Oak set and cover plate. Makes for joyful creating when the products and supplies are so great to work with.

Holiday Cheer: This was a new forey into the world of working with transparency as a card base. I felt it lent itself to the modern look that was represented in Maile's new set. And it shows off the new One Liner die so well. Those will be in heavy rotation, let me tell ya.

Stained Glass: I felt with the dies that came with this set, that a window card was called for, especially with the ability to cut the outer frame. The window was cut in the front and lined in transparency. The actual stained glass image was stamped and heat embossed with gold on the inside and colored with Copics. I wanted deep, dark jewel tones here (BV08, R01, B26, G16, B24, R59). BB: Wrought Iron embossed in gold was a nice finishing touch on the front.

Scent-imentals: I wanted to create a card that wasn't scratch-n-sniff, just to show the versatility of this stamp set. Instead of stamping the chocolate kisses, they are made entirely out of die cuts. I even cut crinkled up tin foil to make the wrappers.

Boutique Borders: Christmas, Instant Photo: Holiday, Wonderful Words: Joy, and Grand Ampersand: This is the result of just playing around to see what I could come up with. I love the look of Scarlet Jewel on Pure Poppy cardstock. LOVE. IT.

Remember, all these products (and Kid Kudos, Kid Kudos Additions, and Kid Kudo dies) will be available tonight at 10 PM EST at www.papertreyink.com.
