Personalized Pencils

I've bought and gifted them in the past for kid gifts. And this year, I'm putting together the best teacher holiday gift with them (I'll be posting that soon). Since I was ordering from Oriental Trading any way and I now have a kindergartner, I decided my little buddy needed some as well. Here's a little gift I put together for him.

I cut the box with my Silhouette and using this file. I added the front opening in the software, because I wanted the pencils and name to show. The box is stamped with PTI's Super Stripes, First Place, Love Lives Here, and Kid Kudos stamps and dies.

These pencils just make me happy. For no particular reason whatsoever. And judging by the grin my little boy had on his face when I gave them to him, pencilphilia seems to be a genetic condition.

On the back is a little message for him from Kid Kudos. I say this to him ALL. THE. TIME.

In other news, you might notice that there are some changes to the blog. The huge busy season at Papertrey Ink between Stamp-A-Faire and the stamper designers yearly deadline has come to pass. It's been four to five months of constant work. Now there seems to be a little breathing room to get other things done. So I'm working on things here. And high time that I did. But it is all a work in progress and that progress is rather slow for me. Three little kids need a lot of attention. And food it seems. :) Please be patient with me as I slowly get to everything.

Frantically working on holiday presents too and hope to add those to the blog here from time to time. I moved a ton of supplies to the kitchen table and have been working on things when I get a spare moment. It's been fun and definitely has gotten me into the spirit. Got to dig around on the old hard drive as well, I know I photographed some stuff from last year that never got put up. Now's the time.

Hope all is well with you.
