December Release Projects

It's a wrap ladies and gents! We are bringing the December Papertrey Ink Release to a close this morning with one last blog post to show the rest of our design team projects. Thanks for stopping by all week and leaving such nice comments. Makes me smile throughout the day.

Getting right down to it...

Boutique Borders, Happy Hearts, and Cupid's Arrow: I liked the find that two of the pinked squares from Button Boutique can be nicely framed between the brackets on the new Boutique Border set. Also focused on using non-black ink on this project. Instead I used Scarlet Jewel instead for a Valentine's twist. And then there's Cupid's Arrow...man I've been waiting for this set! Love it and as you've seen all week, I've used it a lot.

Propose a Toast. My first thought on this one was a glass tower. And I've found time and time again, it's best to go with your first instinct on things. Why fight it? Three levels of champagne glasses fit on a 7x3.5 card and are filled with pink champagne. My sentiment is from Congrats All Ways and Party Poppers helps me out with some confetti.

Polka Dot Parade #11. Can you believe we are almost to the end of this series? It's been so much fun. I really wanted to work the word on this owl's belly into a sentiment. And since owl's are considered bookish, we've got a little bookmark for my fledgling reader here at home. Books are from Back to School. With all the reds, blues, purples, and pinks I've been using for these Valentine's projects, I felt the burning need to change it up a bit and went with earth tones.

The Best is Yet to Be. A super simple one. I wanted to stamp the beautiful font used in "love over a die cut word. The best way to do that is to inset the die cuts so your stamping has an level surface. I left the "o" open and backed it with BB: Houndstooth for a masculine and eye catching twist.

Cupid's Arrow: My love. Sigh. I masked off the stamped line in the bow so I could use floss instead and pull the arrow back, just like it was being aimed and fired. This card is love related, but I'm betting there are some possibilities for you Hunger Game fans here as well.

Wonderful Words: Love, The Best is Yet to Be, Framed Love: How awesome is that Framed Love die? Seriously. I teamed it up with a phase from Wonderful Words: Love and some floral scatter from The Best is Yet to Be. Lots of play in all three of these products.

Solid Stitches & Swirls: I love the life new addition sets breath back into old favorites. This one will be used a lot for sure. And this card took me a total of 20 minutes to whip up, only because I was looking for ways to make it harder on myself. Surely it was not just that simple?:)

Thanks for stopping by. Remember these and all the other PTI December products (It's a Banner Day, Limitless Layers: Heart Stitches, Valentine's Stitches for example...wink) will be available tonight at 10 EST at www.papertreyink.com to purchase. Happy and satisfied crafting to you!
