Love Is In the Details

Mornin' Ya'll! We're back with the final day of the December Papertrey Ink Release Countdown. Today we are featuring four new dies/die sets. A bit of a departure for us. A fun one, though. I'm very eager to see what the other girls are up to with my Limitless Layers: Heart Stitches and Valentine Stitches die collections as well as how they can mixed and matched with Maile's Tag Sale #9 and Nichole's Stitched Pinked Label. It's going to be a great and inspiring day!

We've got three "love" themed projects each for you today--Valentine's, Anniversary, and Wedding. For my Valentine's project, I made little candy pouches out of glassine bags. First I cut the scalloped border heart from Limitless Layers: Hearts and then die cut the single row of stitches from Limitless Layers: Heart Stitches. Very easy!

I was able to stamp directly on the front of the glassine bag cuts with True Black ink and an image from Tremendous Treats: Valentine's. They are stitched up with floss and filled with a sweet message and some red hot candies before I tied them off. (Six Jelly Bellies work too. Imagine the color coordinating possibilities with those!) My old favorite, Double Ended Banner, was stamped with an arrow from Cupid's arrow and stitched right in the middle along with the candies. It gives you that classic Valentine's look.

To open, just untie and rip. Yummy candy!

Eating as you go and ripping even further, a sweet message is revealed. This one is from the new It's a Banner Day. Fits perfectly on the Double Ended Banner.

Next up, we have an anniversary card. The double stitched heart from Limitless Layers: Heart Stitches was die cut on a Smokey Shadow base and backed with silver metallic paper. This die is big enough to house a sentiment inside--in this case one from Heather's new The Best is Yet to Be embossed in gold. The gold embossing is the perfect compliment to the arrow from Valentine's Stitches. Both dies were used without adding any sort of stitching. It's nice that they are so versatile and that the stitching holes alone can be such a pleasing design element.

Supporting elements from Over Under Easy, Calendar Basics and Live Love Life (those three words pretty much sum up a good marriage, don't they?) frame the heart and add a little something to the card. I really love stamping True Black ink on Smokey Shadow cardstock. Classy.

And lastly, how about a wedding project. Nichole's new Stitched Pinked Label makes the perfect towels! I folded them in half and stitched up with thread after stamping them with "Mr. and Mrs." from Heather's The Best is Yet to Be. A stamp and die from Grand Ampersand add a design element between the two. Inside/Out: Love added the "so thrilled that you're" and I borrowed a die from last month's Tipped Top to continue with my theme.

I made a matching tag with Maile's new Tag Sale #9. Love that layered look. And how nice is it that you can use the two dies alone for different lengths of tags? All depends on your project and purpose. I used the Stitched Pinked Label again, this time without folding it and added stamps from The Best Is Yet to Be to coordinate with my card.

Hope you are inspired by all things love today. I'm off to check out more projects, seeing as I'm getting this blog post done just minutes before the 7 AM deadline! HA!  I don't have to wait long. I get a lot done in these early mornings before the kids wake up. These products and more from our December Release will be available for purchase at 10 PM EST at www.papertreyink.com. Thanks for your support and enthusiasm. I'm inspired by you all the time.
