Day 1 of Special Delivery, Special Delivery Sentiments, and A Little Inspiration

Surprise! We're a day early this month with the February Papertrey Ink sneak peeks. There's just so much to show, we needed an extra day. A nice little treat, aye?

I've got three stamp sets being released this month and I can't wait to show you them. So let's just get right to it.

Special Delivery is one fun stamp set. It all starts off with this truck stamp. Everything else builds off of here with two, three, and four step options. These little trucks just come to life with all that color and detail. And would you believe that you can make ten different types of "delivery vehicles" from this set, covering a broad range of occasions and ideas? When teamed up with Special Delivery Sentiments, you've got the makings of some cute cards.

For my first card, I choose to turn my truck into a school bus. Do you notice that there are matching dies for Special Delivery? The truck outline and some of the smaller details are die cuts to make layering and building these trucks a breeze.

I built my scene with elements from Kid Kudos (imagine all those kids piling out of the bus and going to play in a treehouse all summer long) and Boards and Beams.

Here's a close up of all the details on the school bus as well as a sentiment from Special Delivery Sentiments. The road is also included in Special Delivery. I went back and forth on whether or not to include a die for the road and in the end, opted not to make one. As luck would have it, Melissa Bickmore has the Be Happy set out this month with this wonderful 4.25" diagonal striped stamp that she made a die for....and it happens to work perfectly on the road stamp from Special Delivery. So you end up with that option after all.

Next up, our truck morphs into an ice cream truck.  (I'm laughing at myself with these two summer themed cards...can you tell where my mind is in the middle of this frigid winter?). I couldn't shake the idea of a bunch of bicycles chasing the ice cream truck all around the neighborhood. So with a little help from Kid Kudos again, I was able to do just that on this trifold, angled card.  Dies and sentiment for the ice cream truck from the Special Delivery collection as well.

Just another shot from a different angle so you can get an idea of how this card was constructed. I used three shades of green (Limeade Ice, Simply Chartreuse, and Ripe Avocado)  stamped in various patterns (BB: Tin Types, BB: Diagonals, and Polka Dot Basics) to have this ombre look on the different panels.

The inside is stamped with the new Keep It Simple: Birthday set.

Lots more over the next few days with the Special Delivery Collection. We've got 8 more trucks to go. I wonder what they'll be? Got any guesses?

Switching gears a bit with A Little Inspiration. I found in my own stamp collection that I needed a sentiment set for sending a bit of encouragement and sunshine to people. Life definitely has its bumps and a kind word can really lift the spirits.

I teamed up this pick me up sentiment with the lion from Tremendous Treats: Birthday because of the roar reference. Besides, I was lacking a Katy Perry stamp. :)  The sentiment is stamped on vellum and mounted on top of a new cover plate. Sweet! I know you've been wanting on of these...I know I have.

Here's a close up of the sentiment. Handwritten fonts are so popular right now.

That's it for me today. Remember all these products and MANY MANY MANY more are available at 10 PM EST at www.papertreyink.com. More inspiration and sneaks are just a click away right now:

  6. Love your truck image, and the tri-fold road gave me a happy laugh this morning! There must be a UPS or USPS design to carry our PTI goodies, maybe even a PTI truck logo :-) Love the peek at the new stripey cover plate too. Beautiful sentiment with the little lion. Thanks for all the inspiration, Erin!

  11. Think I'm going to like your delivery vehicle set. Thinking I saw an ambulance mentioned somewhere and that would be a good one. My grandson is fixated on ambulances and firetrucks.
