Release in Review

Wrapping it up here for the October Release of PTI. I've got the remainder of my projects to share. Hope you've had as much fun as we have had over the last five days.

Birthday Classics: November and Songbirds: I might have mentioned how much I like Songbirds, right:)? Goes well with this sentiment from Birthday Classics: November. Digging this slightly crazy color scheme of Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Scarlet Jewel, and Melon Berry too. Looks great against Smokey Shadow. And BB: Diagonals in True Black gives some interest the background.

Merry Kiss-mas: When the word kiss refers not only to a smooch on the lips, but a chocolate candy, you expand the pool of people who can receive projects using this stamp set. Who doesn't like a Hershey Kiss. And remember, we have Kiss stamps on the Scent-imentals stamp set. SCORE!

Jolly Holiday, Cross Stitch, and Cross Stitch Alphabet Dies: Melissa's striped holiday set is very on trendy and fun to use. Here the wreath takes the place of the letter "o" in "joy". I used the new Cross Stitched Alphabet dies to form the rest of the words and stamped the "x's" instead of stitch them for a quick project using the Cross Stitch stamp set.

Painted Poinsettia and Holiday Double Cuts:  For even more of a watercolored look, I went over the stamped images with a water brush. Love how this turned out. Holiday Double Cuts are amazing and I agree with the comments out there that we need a whole alphabet like this! Wouldn't that be amazing. Gold embossed accents finish it off, including the word "sweet" from Strawberry Patch.

Festival of Light and KIS: Hanukkah: I made a stylish menorah with both of these sets and a little help from the previously released Menorah Medley. The larger flame for the candles was pulled from Polka Dot Parade #12.

Freshly Fallen:  I find something very interesting about die cuts in Freshly Fallen when they are layered together like this. They remind me of something, but can't quite put my finger on it. In any case, they are seriously fun to work with. Somethings are best not to question.Gotta go where the creativity takes you sometimes.  LOL!

Phrase Play #9 and Canned: Isn't that die cut snowflake the best?  Combined these new elements with Big Ticket Basics to form a new sentiment.

More inspiration below. I haven't sneaked any peeks yet, so can't wait to see what the girls have been up to.

  4. Erin, you've cards are sublime in every way! Your creativity is in over-drive. Your color combinations are really different, and I bet each one of us that sees your cards, will wonder why we didn't think of it first. They could pick all the color palettes for the newsletter, just from this one post.

You are the person who has helped me appreciate the greys. The combination of the grey with the warm leaves on the first card, knocks my socks off. The"Joy to the World" card is THE MOST fabulous composition, and your soft poinsettias, with the touches of gold, are breath-taking.

Thank you for all your creative efforts - stamp sets, sewing dies, and your amazing cards. It just doesn't get any better.

  8. I just love your dies!! I got the latest seasonal dies in the mail yesterday, and can't wait to play with them!! I cut out the candy cane - and love the negative that the "stripes" leaves. Now I know what kind of cute card will go with the pot holders I'm embellishing with candy canes for neighbor gifts.
I would like to beg for a traditional gingerbread man for next year. I've wanted a gingerbread man die since I first learned about this funny machine called a cuttlebug. Let's just say I might have to order two, since I'm sure I'd wear the first one out :)

Thanks again for your AMAZING dies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
