Charmed Frame

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink Countdown for December. I have a few products being released this month. There is a really fun birth stone stamp set called Charmed with a coordinating frame. Unfortunately, I don't have the stamp set in hand. Chalk it up to the holidays. We are all prone to that from time to time.  But I have the die cut frame to play with...and it is a beaut! I'm really thrilled with how it turned out.

Two Ways to Use the Charmed Frame From Papertrey Ink

I created two cards today using the Charmed Frame. As you can see, there is lots of beautiful detail. And in keeping with the gemstone theme, there are places to inlay adhesive embellishments for perfect placement.

Charmed Frame with Brushed Blooms for Papertrey Ink

On this card, I cut the Charmed Frame out of both Hawaiian Shores and Aqua Mist cardstock. I popped out some of the cuts from the Aqua Mist frame and replaced them with the coordinating die cuts from the Hawaiian Shores frame. Brushed Blooms (first time using that...WOW!) and a die cut word from the new XOXO collection are my focal point. I stamped "You" from a Wet Paint stamp set.

Fine Detail and Inlaid Rhinestones in the Charmed Frame by Papertrey Ink

How about a close up of the rhinestones? There are holes in the Charmed Frame cut that allows for recessed rhinestone placement or they'll serve as a guide for placement of larger rhinestones. I used frosted glass domes on this example. You can just imagine that when using the birthstone stamp set how all this would work well together.

Alternative Use for the Charmed Frame by Papertrey Ink

I had "extras" from the first card, which I was very happy to put to use on this one. The Charmed Frame cuts both the oval frame and the white rectangular panel. One nest nicely inside the other. I stamped the white panel with stamps from Love Notes. Quite the nice fit, I've gotta say! To finish it off, I added aqua rhinestones. These are placed freehand in the same places that the guides are on the die cut frame.

That's it for me today. I'll have more tomorrow. For more inspiration, link back to Nichole's blog for more December Papertrey Ink goodies.
