Fancy Pants Sentiments with Papertrey Ink

It's mid March! Fantastic!!! Everyday that gets closer to April 15th around here the better. My hubby's a tax accountant and is working insane hours this time of year. So the countdown is on here at the Lincoln household. Each day crossed off the calendar is a reason to celebrate. Added bonus, the days are getting longer and the weather is getting warmer. All of this makes me a happy, happy girl. Bursting at the seams happy. Winter's the pits.

What else makes me happy? New stamps and a fresh new countdown at Papertrey Ink. All that fun starts today. And do I ever had a lot of stuff to show you. It's a big month for me with lots of goodies. Let's go ahead and get started.

I've got a brand new two-step sentiment stamp and die set called Fancy Pants Sentiments. It's two-step with the sentiment and the swirls surrounding it being separate stamps. It's elegant and playful. Something that goes really well with all those floral sets you have and can't resist. (I'm in the same boat, believe me.) Here I paired it up with Betsy's new Bloomin' Cute in shades of Sweet Blush, Melon Berry, and Simply Chartreuse on a Cover Plate: Pretty Frame. The outer most frame was originally white, but since I was already sponging everything else in Sweet Blush ink, I did the same there. Makes it look all soft and delicate.

Here's another card for you, more of a tone-on-tone design. I busted out an old favorite, Year of Flowers: Sweet Pea and stamped the largest cluster a few times on the right hand side in Enchanted Evening ink over Blueberry Sky cardstock. Shading with white pencil matches up with the swirls on the sentiment. The matching die cuts for the Fancy Pants Sentiment stamp set helps define the focal point when it is elevated above the rest of the card with dimensional adhesive.

Also a glimpse of a new border die. I'll leave that a mystery for now. You'll learn more in a few days.

I hope you enjoy what you see. Looking forward to seeing what Betsy and the girls do with this new set. More inspiration can be found on Nichole's blog.

Fancy Pants Sentiments stamps and dies will be available on March 15th at 10 PM EST at www.papertreyink.com.

I'll be back tomorrow with more. So much to share. Thanks for stopping by!
