You Think Hank's Big, Huh?

You ain't seen nothing yet. :) In the few pieces I've done for Hero Arts and Quickutz, I haven't been using current pictures. Months old, in fact. How about a current one? This is Hank's version of a ride on lawn mower. Looks like his Daddy, huh? Which is a good thing. Since we had a little help getting pregnant and certain genetic material was out of our possession for 2 hours, I was really worried that the kid would pop out with features that clearly weren't Matt's. I was the only happily married woman who would frequently say to her husband, "Gee...I really hope he looks like you". I can rest easy now. The apple does not fall far from the Lincoln tree.

For all of you who gifted us with books when he was born, let me tell you, a day does not go by when I don't thank my lucky stars for his vast library. We must read 20 books a day to him. He is constantly bringing us books. We wake up in the morning and he's hanging over the crib pointing to his bookshelf. Forget Mama or Dada, give him Curious George. I swell with pride, being the bookworm that I am. That, he got from me.

So, how was your summer? Went by way too fast around here. Because of Hank, I was outside more than I have ever been. We are well acquainted with every park and pool within a 60 mile radius. Survived the trip up to Camp Bug Bite, NH with the kid in the car. And glad we did, because I made my favorite summer memory of '09 while on vacation. Matt's got to start pointing his toes more if he wants us to qualify for the 2012 pairs Olympic cannonball team. :)

  8. Erin,
Glad to see you back in circulation! You've been missed. I can't believe how much Hank looks like Matt, funny how that happens. Can't wait to see more of your incredible ideas put to life.

  9. I know this is way after the fact, but just catching up on your blog. So glad to hear The Hankster is enjoying his library and all the books we sent (did you ever get them all???) My kids were the same..never get enough of looking at/reading books. He is adorable and so big! Glad to hear you are doing well.
