Teacup Invites

Do you ever have noncrafty friends asking for some crafty help? My best girlfriend claims to be the least creative person on the planet. So when she asked for me to help make her daughter's birthday invites the same weekend I'm on strict orders to keep my feet up, I found the perfect opportunity to torture her a bit. Sure. Come over. We'll make invites. But you're doing most of the work darlin', 'cause I can't. Oh what fun to watch her squirm and order her around a bit:). And of course, watch the look of amazement on her face when she's introduced to dies with matching stamps and a Silhouette machine.

There's a local place called Sunflower Studios where she's having the party. It's a pottery studio/tea house. Blue teacups and sunflowers match their logo. No other inspiration was needed for the invites. Like shooting fish out of a barrel.

Got paper on sale. We made 10 invites for least than three dollars. Ah, the beauty of papercrafting. I might just bring her over the dark side yet.

Supplies:

Teacup card die: Silhouette cut file
Stamps: Beautiful Blooms II and Tea for Two by Papertrey Ink
Die: Beautiful Blooms I by Papertrey Ink
Perfect Match Ink: Summer Sunrise and Dark Chocolate
Rustic Wood buttons by PTI

  4. I always knew you were a good friend... Even helping while you yourself could use some help while you NEED to put your feet up!!!!

  5. Really cute and you'll have her clipping 40% off coupons soon enough. Is that a maniacal bwahahahaha that is heard across the land emanating from your home?
