An American Gothic Halloween



Everybody is familiar with the painting "American Gothic" by Grant Wood. Supposedly one of the most parodied paintings around. It was the very first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the images of these treat or treaters from My Mind's Eye.

With a little masking and pulling some things off the shelf in my stamp inventory, I chuckled my way though the resulting card. Do you ever highly amuse yourself, even if you aren't necessarily amusing others? Totally a worthy exercise in my opinion.


Now I just have to decide who to send it to....

    I'm not a halloween fan by any means, Erin, but that card is hilarious! And yes, I totally get what you mean about amusing yourself even if no one else is amused. Happens to me all the time!

    This is so creative. I have wondered how to use that house in a Halloween type card. How perfect with those bats flying around and the little spider hanging down. So, so creative Erin!
