Feeling Like I Should Post
It's been a bit of a dry spell here on blogland lately. It's not how I prefer to run things. In the perfect world. I wish I had the time and desire to fill this up with witty blatherings everyday. But the truth is, I'm finding myself really rather busy and fulfilled with taking care of my little family. My husband works 70+ hours/wk this time of year and I only have a sitter for 3 of them. My days are overflowing with stories and dishes, laundry and park trips.
Forgive the fact that things here are all business. For now. I work for my own enjoyment, to keep things spinning upstairs on a different frequency from time to time. It's good for me. And know when silence reigns here on blogland that I'm doing what I feel I was truly meant to do with my life....love on them and enjoy the brief flash in time when my life revolves around the everyday adventures of Hank and Eliza Jane.

Erin, you are right it is all a blink so enjoy your darling children and keep up the great design outlet for yourself when you can.
ReplyDeleteJanet in AR mom of two beautiful married daughters. (ready for grands when the time comes!)
Look how skinny you look out there roller skating. You look like you both had such fun. Love this post today Erin.
ReplyDeleteShe is just pudgeriffic!! Look at those cheeks!!! My youngest is 9.5 months, which I think is nearly the same age, right? And Eliza reminds me of my own - those munchable legs, and beautiful eyes!! Sometimes it's so easy to get caught up in all you 'have' to do, that it's easy to forget that the only thing you really HAVE to do is spend time with the little ones... too soon they won't be little, and they won't want to spend their time with us, right?
ReplyDeleteAmen! ...but we do love hearing from you, so write when you can.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of Eliza. --beautiful quilt, too.
You look fantastic - can't believe you have 2 kiddos!!
ReplyDeleteI check your blog almost everyday - just in case. Love "watching" your kids grow up, and also being inspired by your cool ideas!! THANKS!!!
Funny because I just rediscovered your blog after a long time of missing you (I think Hank wasn't even one!). I am inspired by your style and creativity, and glad you still have a blog. Plus, I am a former Fredrick resident and enjoy occasional bits and pieces of "home" I get from your blog. I know that roller skating pic isn't, but it brings back Skatehaven memories!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. These years are precious and the kids will thank you for it, enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteYour babies are just beautiful Erin, I am so glad you are enjoying them! Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, Mama! This is a short season in your life, and before you know it your little darlings will roll their eyes at you. (I have two teenagers now, and relish the memories stored in photo frames.)
