Quick Favors & Wraps

Still stamping away PTI'ers over here. The countdown for September is coming to a close, but there's still plenty left to see. And for me to do! Having fun crafting away, have no worries there.

Today we are featuring some fun new packaging options that are being offered this month in the form of the Essential Pillow Box and the Tissue Paper Favors #1 die. The later has been renamed in my head as "The Die I Never Knew I Couldn't Live Without." Let me show you what I mean.

First up however is a pillow box that echos my personal feelings about how I want to leave the holidays--"Peace On Earth, Good Will Toward Men". I really winged it on the stamping, hoping that I would find something to go in the empty spot between all the "peaces" from "Peace, Love & Joy". I found it in the "Wonderful Words: Holiday" stamp set. I stamped "on earth, good will toward man" on two lines with some selective inking. Just happened to work out. LOVE when that happens. The globe image from "Masculine Motif" and a heart from "Gingerbread Lane" help to carry my theme through to the end.

I'm really enjoying the colors on this pillow box. New combo for me that I'll definitely be using again. There's Autumn Rose ink stamped on Lavender Moon cardstock. And Plum Pudding stamped on Spring Rain.

Next up, a little gift for a birthday boy using Favor It Box #3 and the new Tissue Paper Favors die. This is a great over-the-top way to give a gift card. All flash and fun. What really helps to make this look like an amazing gift is the tissue paper. Two sheets cut with the Tissue Paper Favors Die is enough to fill the box with a gift inside. I particularly like the petal shapes on the edges of the tissue paper. It looks so incredibly finished and festive. You can't get that with a straight edge.

The tag on the front is from "Do Me a Favor Tags" being released this month. The label part is a nice size for adding sentiments from other sets, like "Make a Wish" in this case.

Another fun benefit of the tissue paper stuffing is that it holds decorative picks in place without them rattling around in the box. Two stars on lollipop sticks (from "Star Prints" and "Super Stars") add height and pizazz. One even has the age of the birthday boy on the front.

For the streamers, I simply wrapped 11x.25" strips of New Leaf Bitty Dot paper around a pencil and adhered behind the stars. Why have I not thought of this before?

I hope you enjoyed your visit. More from me tomorrow.
