It also means it is time to take a little rest. Stamped out! But not for long. I'm sure in just a few short days I'll be getting the itch again.
Before I go find a couch and a novel, let me put up the remainder of my release projects.
Cutting Garden. Some Copic shading directly on Melon Berry and Soft Stone ink help bring this bloomer to life. The use of BB: Newsprint was inspired by the sentiment I used. All on the record.
Boutique Borders and Mini Blooms. There was a blog post at www.apartmenttherapy.com last week that suggested using melon and gold to decorate a room. That's all it took to inspire this unusual-for-me color scheme. I'm liking it.
Irresitibly Ikat and Headline Alphabet. This is a Make It Monday video in the making right here. I think I'm going to call it the Defined Watercolor Technique. First you cover your stamp in watercolors and stamp. Next, just ink the edges of the stamp with ink and stamp over your first impression. You get the detail with the ink, but the softness with the watercolor. Fun.
Wonderful Words #1 and Watercolor Wonder. I only used three colors on the Watercolor Wonder portion of this card. There's Raspberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, and Orange Zest. The two border colors are the second inking from Raspberry Fizz and Orange Zest. Also, I stamped the hello image in black and then placed the die cut "hello" in white slightly off set on top. Makes a nice shadow.
Watercolor Wonder, Headlines Alphabet, and Polka Dot Parade. February is traditionally the Easter release, so why not put those fun paint stroke stamps to work dying some Easter eggs for a card front?
For more release projects, check out the following blogs. As for me, it is time to rest:). See you next month.
