Let's jump into the last of my projects...
First Place: I had to put this one first because I used those banner strips on so many projects this month. Here, I used them to separate the lines of text of a sentiment from "Inside & Out: Thank You". To add definition to one side, "Square Prints" were cut and stamped in matching ink colors. Very simple (in look, not so much in execution...but it is a good exercise for you to expand your skill set) and striking.
Summer Hills: Ever since I realized we had a series on our hands, I couldn't wait to use them all together. At last, I got my chance. "Summer Hills" is given special treatment when stamped in a darker colored ink (Enchanted Evening vs. Blueberry Sky) and mounted on colored cardstock. You can easily switch this all around to be seasonally appropriate just by highlighting a different main panel and choosing different colors. Sentiment was heat embossed in gold and cut out with the "Limitless Layers: 1.75" Circle Dies".
Wishes Come True: I couldn't get the vision of a box of birthday candles in a yellow box out of my head. So I just went with it. "Front & Center 2" die helped me out by providing a window. "Birthday Trio Dies" and "By the Number Border Die" got used with a bunch of old favorites to created a collage style sentiment. And there's "First Place" again, put to work building a background with "Sew Simple Borders".
Delightful Dahlia Additions and Mat Stack 7 die: A fun and funky frame to showcase these beautiful flowers in warm colors of Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, and Terracotta Tile. And all be darned if that isn't "First Place" again showcasing a sentiment.
Polka Dot Parade #6 and Scrolling Script: Some of the sentiments in "Scrolling Script" have more of a circular feel than a hexagonal is that even a word? ha!) shape to them. Which makes them perfect to turn into trees. More stuff to explore in the vein than I've done here. Maybe team them up with other trees in other sets? Cuts from the "Polka Dot Parade #6" die in Ripe Avocado, Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, and Berry Sorbet help to carry the theme over.
