Reasons to Smile Freebie

Everybody excited for Papertrey Ink's Stamp-A-Faire tomorrow? The fun kicks off early and goes all the way until midnight. You could do nothing but stamp and craft all day long. My gosh, could you even imagine?

I'm here to show you a card I made with the special edition "Reasons to Smile" set available for tomorrow only. (Check out below for all the deets on that, I just cut and pasted from Nichole's blog, or you could click on over and see what's going on yourself) This card is a rarity for me in that it only utilizes one stamp set. I guess it is possible! 

I stamped the poppy leaves three times across white cardstock. I then took the flower image and inked each impression with two colors. The first stamping was Scarlet Jewel and Pure Poppy, second was Pure Poppy and Orange Zest, and the last was Orange Zest and Summer Sunrise. I was so tickled that this came out like it did, because the seemly random colors helped to break up the pattern of the flowers. Usually you can easily spot the "repeat" when you stamp more than one impression of an image. The multi-ink approach camouflages it quite a bit. 

The sentiment, also from the set, was stamped in Dark Chocolate directly on top of the poppies. Everything was mounted on Scarlet Jewel cardstock.

I have the new WRMK envelope maker and was able to make a matching, correctly sized envelope for this card in Scarlet Jewel Bitty Dot Pattern Paper. I created a label using Label Basics, Reasons to Smile, and To You From Me. All ready to give.
