Here's my little creation in vintage shades of Melon Berry, Aqua Mist, Fine Linen, and Classic Kraft. I choose to use the assembled bouquet stamp and matching die to highlight. I have one cluster on my panel in the left hand corner as the focal point. I also stamped it repeatedly along the bottom one shade lighter (Fine Linen ink on Fine Linen cardstock) to add interest and carry the theme over.
A tip here on this one particular stamp in the set. You have the option of creating your own, multi-colored spray like this with Bold Bouquet. In doing so, refer back to this solid stamp. It is already assembled and you can use it as a guide for placing your flowers. Will help you out a lot.
The "Smile" sentiment is from Bold Bouquet and the scalloped border from the new Be Happy Die Collection. I also get a chance here to demonstrate one of my favorite features of BB: Diagonals and the Diagonal Addition dies. First I stamped the herringbone pattern with the BB: Diagonals stamp set on my Monthy Moments: Library Card die with Aqua Mist ink on Aqua Mist cardstock. Nice how five columns of herringbone fit perfectly across this die. Bonus! Next I took the Diagonal Additions dies and cut out individual elements from Melon Berry Bitty Dot and Simple Stripe patterned paper. Using my original stamp as a blueprint, I covered up the Aqua Mist herringbone image with the patterned paper elements to create this patterned paper herringbone. Placement was so easy and effortlessly precise and I love the end result.

Love your card, Erin. Thanks for the design tip for the diagonals and how to achieve a perfectly placed herringbone pattern.
ReplyDeleteYou used an interesting combination of inks on your card, creating a more subdued look. The stamped-off design at the bottom of the card ties everything together.
ReplyDeleteGreat card thanks for sharing.
