Easter is just around the corner. But coming even quicker, is the March 2014 Papertrey Ink Release. I've got another set of Seasonal Stitches coming out this month that will work well with your Easter paper crafting plans and you'll have them in your own hands with plenty of time to spare. Lots of sweet little detail in these eggs dies to help you get crafty.
I was going to felt and stitch this little egg tag up last night, but the second I took it out of my die cut machine and saw how sweet this dotted striped egg looked, I decided to leave it as is. This ended up being a super quick project, but one I think has a lot of detail thanks to that single pass of the Seasonal Stitches: Eggs die through your die cut machine. I ended up backing it with a Harvest Gold cut of the new Tag Sale #10 to give it some color. This one is all ready for your project or basket in less than 10 minutes.
I know a lot of you have last month's Bunny Bag. I just put mine together for the first time this morning.(I created a tag with the elements for my assignment last month.) How cute is this guy? I decided to pair up Seasonal Stitches: Eggs with this bag in particular because it compliments the stitching elements already in the bag, such as the nose and ears. You can take it even further with a stitched egg in the bunny's paw.
This is the simpler of the two Seasonal Stitches: Eggs Dies. The heart patch is optional. You can add it in, or use it by itself as I did on Day 1 with my shamrock card. I've been using the heart patch A LOT this week. It's a nice bonus in this die collection.
I had a great idea as I was putting this bunny bag together this morning. I didn't have time to make it up, but would have if I had for today's post. Take the Bunny Bag and cut off the flap part on both sides of it, so you just have an open bag. Before you assemble, use the Seasonal Stitching Dies on the front. Assemble and put a battery powered tea light inside for a quick luminary.
I made luminaries for my Halloween and Christmas decor this past year. I think I'll make these spring themed ones when I decorate for Easter next week. I'll be sure to take photos for you and put on the blog. I think the soft, flickering light shining through the little stitching holes will be delicately festive.
More tomorrow. And as for today, additional inspiration is below.
