The Fun Thing About...

...product design is that you get to be incredibly self indulgent and create the things that you want to stamp and work with or fill a hole in your dream stash. You just hope that everybody can see using the same things as well:).

Case in point: the food truck from Special Delivery and the corresponding sentiment from Special Delivery Sentiments: "It was so nice to share a meal with you." When I get together with girlfriends, it is usually out at a restaurant and we're gabbing over lunch or dinner/cocktails. And I always walk away so grateful for the time. I've always wanted to express that in a little follow up note. I'll be using this idea a lot in the future!

I have an old stamp from Hero Arts (four years is old? stamps age faster than trophy wives) that I thought would work well for Special Delivery. It's called Cityscape and looks like it can still be found. I stamped it over top of a Winter Wisteria base stamped with Background Basics: Diagonals. The food truck is paper pieced. I was having a hard time putting on a sentiment in an artistic/stylish fashion. Finally said "heck with this" and decided a little heart in a speech bubble (Bubble Talk stamps and dies) looks cute and serves the same purpose.  Problem solved.

I'm thinking my next Special Delivery card will have this same Hero Arts stamp in the foreground, but than the smaller and more colorful City Scene buildings in front. A multi layered scene, with more detail in the foreground, which is very realistic looking. I think it will work fabulously.

The sentiment was stamped on the inside. The sketched heart from Bubble Talk carries over the speech bubble theme from the front.

And that's that. Need to get this one in the mail. :) Hope ya'll have a nice weekend! Release craziness starts soon. The paper is flying around here for sure.
