Welcome back to more fun for the October Papertrey Ink Release.I was feeling very inky yesterday, so I put the needle and thread aside for a bit and made up some cards to show you today instead. No worries, I'll get back to the stitching here soon.
If you follow the sneak peeks, you'll know that I have two stamp sets coming out this month. Just a Little Something was originally designed to decorate a new Favor It Box that I have coming out. I'll leave those darling details for another day. (So very cute!) I like to draw out the fun a bit.
Like a great deal of the PTI catalog, the value comes in the versatility of the products. So I'll show you two cards I made using the Just a Little Something stamp set and the coordinating dies today. Turns out, it is a very useful stamp set to have around.
Here is a card using the multi-step seal and banner from Just A Little Something. Everything was designed to fit seamlessly together so you can use the stamps on a single layer of paper like I did here on this cut of Tag Sale #8. I pulled the sentiment from Simply You. Love how the scrolly "you" layers over the seal.
I tilted the Diagonal Stripes Cover Plate on my card front at the same angle as my banner on the tag. A strip of Hawaiian Shores cardstock helps to draw your eye along to the card to the sentiment focal point.
On this next card, I busted out the Just A Little Something Die Collection to go along with the stamp set. The banner has two different dies, so you can raise up the long top portion above the edges with dimensional adhesive. The striped half circles have a single die as well. I used half of that here and left the top half open to tuck in floral elements from The Best Is Yet To Be. I used the circle frame stamp (like I used in the above card) to stamp around the opening. And this time, I added the large curly corner frame to finish everything off. All in all, very handy individual elements that can be used as a nice pairing on a card with your other stamp sets.
Thanks for stopping by. I'll have more tomorrow...and the day after...and the day after that. Lots to show you! Lots for me to play with.
