Day 1 of Love Notes

Hello Papertrey Ink fans! Today kicks off the December Release. As tradition holds, it is all about love and Valentine's Day. We like to have you be prepared for your crafting. Valentine's will be here before you know it. It ranks right up there with Christmas and Halloween as my favorite paper crafting holidays.

I have a new stamp set and small coordinating die coming out this month called Love Notes. It's got a little bit of everything sentiment-wise, which a few extra images to help convey a message. The sentiments are largely appropriate for more than one type of recipient. Friends, loved ones, romantic entanglements...we've got you covered.

My first card features a F. Scott Fitzgerald quotation and one that I'm completely in love with. No matter how many times I read it, it leaves me a little dazed at how the words perfectly convey the core of a happy, long term relationship. There is "no recovery" from falling in love with your life long partner, is there? Sigh. I wish I could go back knowing what I know now, so I could fully appreciate the gravity of the moment when I walked up to an 18 year-old Matt  (thinking he was just a friend) and said, "Camp wasn't the same without you." Apparently, that was all it took:).

In this case, this sentiment makes a lovely anniversary card to give to a couple. I stamped the sentiment on a Smokey Shadow card stock strip and cut the end into a banner. The Double Ended Banner Die in True Black holds the "happy anniversary" stamp down below.

When going through my stamps to find the perfect companion to this quotation, I ran across Lizzie's Fancy Footwork. Could not be more appropriate. Two people dancing through life together is exactly how this quotation makes me feel. I sponged Limeade Ice and Aqua Mist ink over white heat embossed images. And to give it just a bit more depth, I stamped the same colors using the Grunge Me set.

Next up, I have another love sentiment. This one works for all types of recipients and has a travel twist to it. It paired up nicely with World Map and Destination.

There is a scrolly "love" included in Love Notes that works with this sentiment. This time, however, I went digging through my dies to find the Wonderful Words: Love die to create a strong focal point. Intertwining hearts from Framed Out #11 are used as a collage base.

Hope you like what you see! Lots more to come. Love Notes will be available on December 15th at 10 PM EST at www.papertreyink.com.

While I have you here, I've been pretty busy on the blog the last few weeks with holiday projects and such. In case you've missed it, take a look. We've got Stitched Bookmark Gift Tags, Stitched Monogram Treat Boxes, packaging for the Stitched Frame, a holiday card for a tween boy, and a card using my favorite Type Strips!
