Day 1 of the May Countdown

It's that time again. We're sharing sneaks of the new May products that will be available on May 15th at Papertrey Ink. I've got a new stamp set and a few die sets coming out this month. Just here to whet your appetite for them. Or is wet? One is more grammatically correct, the other is a pun because for our proposes, a craft beer-themed stamp set is definitely going to be thirst-quenching for those of you hungry for a new guy set.

Craft Brew stamps and dies and the new Pub Glass Dies are all about creating beer-themed projects for the guys (and ladies) in your life who enjoy a pint of something brew-tastic. (I do believe I just girlied-up something that was pretty masculine by making up that word. Don't tell my husband.) My husband is just such a man. Secret beer club member and all that. I can't judge because I stamp. Right?

The fun thing about the Craft Brew Collection is that you can "theme" your pub glass with various badges that represent common card-giving occasions. So instead of a beer logo on the glass, you've got a graphically designed sentiment. So fun and easy to do.

Let me show you a few examples today.

Here we have the new Pub Glass Die. I cut the "beer" out of Summer Sunrise cardstock and shaded the top of it with Terracotta Tile ink. I stamped it with a "logo" from Craft Brew directly on the cardstock. A "glass highlight" was stamped to give it some realism. The glass part of the Pub Glass Dies is vellum so that Heather's new Three Piece Suit Patterned Paper Collection can show through just a little bit.

The word "happy" was cut out of Stamper's Select White card stock with the One Liner: Happy Collection and goes across my focal point. The "Father's Day" was selectively inked from the new Keep It Simple: Father's Day.

The Pub Glass Dies have this fun and frothy foam head. Imagine the materials you could use with it. Here I cut some foam left over from some packaging for some realistic dimension.

Next up, I'm using the Pub Glass Dies again, this time opting to leave off the glass portion. There's no shaded inking on this one, but instead I heat embossed in white bubble trails and some of the foam up top. I used the Craft Brew Dies to cut and stamp the multi-colored logo for a birthday. The background was created by stamping three of the logos in Fresh Snow ink on Classic Kraft card stock. Neat how different you can make the pub glass look.

That's it for me. Make sure you stop back at Nichole's blog to see the day's inspiration. And seeing as it is the weekend and 5 o'clock somewhere, enjoy a cold one today. Relax and think about stamping!

The Craft Brew Collection will be available on May 15th at 10 PM EST at www.papertreyink.com if you are interested in adding it to your collection. It would be a honor:).
