On this card, I used just the Bibliophile Dies and the Fancy Book End Dies on this teacher appreciation card. Those books just make me happy all lined up like that. They are flanked on each side with a Smokey Shadow Book End. The Fancy Book End Dies have a lot of extra details built in to give them lots of character. (Tomorrow I have a great close up of exactly that.) I'm into subtle details like this, so it was a pleasure to branch out and do something new in the design process.
You've seen previously how tall the books can be. You don't have to use them that way all the time. I have much shorter books this time around by just trimming them down. Just to give you another option. The teacher die cut is from Wonderful Words: Teacher and the sentiment is finished off with a stamp from my Seeds of Knowledge. Die cuts from the Apple Prints Die Collection give this school themed flair.
And here's another card using just one of the two bookends from Fancy Book Ends. These books from the Bibliophile are not trimmed down so you can get a good idea how they look on an A2 card. I used one of the author book quotations here on just the blue book.
There are several book themed products in the PTI catalog already available and they'll team up well with my new ones. The book print paper is from the Dearest Jane pack. Very handy to have.
I've been using lots of patterned paper this week. And I'm not normally a big user. The dies from the Bibliophile collection lend themselves nicely to it. A great way to use all those beautiful prints.
I'll be back tomorrow with more. Thanks for stopping by!
