Are you guys still with us here on the final day of the Papertrey Ink Anniversary celebration? What are we going to do with ourselves come tomorrow?:) HA! I'll tell you what I'll be doing...catching up on some sleep and enjoying what is forecasted to be some nice weather. I am DYING to take the kids to the park. What a difference in attitudes that's going to make around here...most of all in Mommy's.
Bad weather is good for stamping and getting projects done, however. And that's a good thing too. Today I've got my Delightful Doily projects for you, in all their lacy frilly loveliness. Now, vintage is a hat that doesn't really fit on my head all that well. So I decided to take it in another direction. Remember the spirograph toys you used to have as a kid? Reminded me of the doily stamps and had me itching to color in patterns the doilies created.
I've used the Fresh Snow ink, Ocean Tides Copics, and kraft cardstock combination before. LOVE it. The combination of that particular ink and the Copics, muted on the dark cardstock gives almost a batik look here. Very ethnic/bohemian. Doesn't say vintage to me at all. Digging the size of the new Think Big Sentiments #1. Somethings you don't get excited over until you use them...and then you become the biggest fan. Now my wish list for BIG sentiments is as long as my arm.
I created a matching tag to go along with the card. The Ocean Tides circle is punched out at 1.5". The traditional 1.75" would work too. And just to throw some more numbers at you, I layered a 2.5" Limitless Layers die on the new Tag Sale #4. The sentiment is from Mega Mixed Messages. Very nice to have a matching option for the Think Big Favorites, no?
Next, I busted out the Doily Details dies and the new Parisian Doily for a card that has some Latin flavor to it. Big, bright, juicy colors layered on top of each other is all it takes to make your own fiesta. We throw a lot of margarita and tamale fueled birthday parties (and yet we're French Canadian/Irish/German...go figure) on my side of the family, so this would be very appropriate.
Double Ended Banner die holds a Limitless Layer cut frame in place. The flower there was left over from another project that you'll see with the Release. Sometimes the perfect thing is already sitting on your desk.
A Birthday Bash Sentiments stamp fit nicely in this space.
Thanks for stopping by. I've got more stuff for you next week--a video and another podcast. Busy busy around here. And so are the other ladies. Be sure to hop on over to some other blogs to see different creative spins on these new products.
