March Papertrey

Thought I'd share my assigned PTI projects this month. I really enjoyed creating them and now that the release is over for the month, not quite sure what I'm going to do with myself:). Laundry isn't nearly as exciting, aye?

Let's get right to it...

Beautiful Blossoms II plus dies. I think if the house caught fire, I'd make sure I'd grab this set on my way out the door. Flower design was inspired by the pattern on a pair of scrubs I saw at the doctor's office last week. You just never know when somethings going to get your creative juices going. I took pictures on how to make that multi-colored flower that I'll post a little tutorial later this week.

Delightful Dahlias certainly lives up to it's name. I thought that it would be really hard to line up the stamp to the die because I wouldn't be able to orient myself with all those flower petals. Couldn't be more wrong. There is a big notch between two particular petals. Easy to find and therefore, easy to orient yourself. It's a total cinch.

Springtime Doodles. I think everybody loves that dandelion stamp. A lot of us used it. If you use a brush tip marker you can either color individual seeds to make them blow away in the wind (nicely teamed up with the "Make a wish" sentiment from the Cupcake Collection) or not color parts of the dandelion to make it look blown away. I'm going to be doing videos for PTI soon and looking for ideas for topics. This brush marker technique is definitely on my short list.

I think Springtime Doodles pairs up really rather nicely with Wonderfully Whimsical with a little imagination. See, there's that dandelion stamp again.

And lastly, there's YOF: Daffodils. Think if I leave this bouquet out on the kitchen counter my husband might get the hint that I want some real ones? How cheerful would a bouquet of paper wrapped spring flowers be? Wishful thinking over here.

Can't wait until next month. Got to feed the creative beast and PTI is an excellent way for me to do it. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Hi Erin,
Lovely cards, as usual. And you're going to do videos soon? Looking forward to that. I used to watch all your weekly ones on CK. You do a video (on anything) and I'll watch it!
All the best with birth of new baby, which sounds pretty close now. :o)

  10. Wow, every one of your cards is wonderful! I was going to say that that first black and turquoise flower was my favorite until I came to the daffodils! I do have a bouquet in my kitchen window since I love those things.
