A Quickie

My niece June is turning 1 tomorrow. Making the trek to Baltimore to enjoy her birthday and watch her smash cake into her face. One must come bearing gifts for such an auspicious occasion, right?

Somebody told me recently that the women who buy the cutest little girl clothes are moms who only have little boys. That would jive with my experience. Not that Hank does too bad in that department. He's totally metro. He loves lotion, Lip Smackers, and his pair of velcro Chucks. I've created a monster. And not that I completely ADORE little boys. Gosh dang, are they not the sweetest things ever?

All that aside, little girl clothes make me go a little crazy cakes. Thus, the second I saw this little goldfish ensemble at Gymboree in early February, I knew I had to buy it for June. I secretly love that it isn't pink or purple, yet oh-so-girly anyway. And before anybody draws any conclusions, I am in no way shape or form making any references to my current gestational state. No reading into anything!

And because I didn't want to think too hard, this is the card I made to go with it. Has to match, ya know? I just did it. No over analyzing, no double thinking. Healthy to do that every now and again. Probably should be more the norm. I'll think on that and get back to you. :)
