Silhouette Blog Hop

Photobucket

Hey Everybody! If you've hopped on over from Sherri's blog for the Silhouette Blog Hop...Welcome, Welcome! If you are already a frequent visitor and would like to join in the fun, start at the beginning at the Silhouette Blog and follow all the links to see some fabulous Silhouette projects all over the blogosphere from a whole bunch of diverse and talented designers.

So, how about my project? My mom asked me to alter a cosmetics box to hold hair bobs for a sweet little Tinkerbell loving 3 year old. I was handed the box and some themed Disney paper and told to go to town. It was really fun to do. An interesting creative exercise to try to please somebody else instead of just yourself.

Boxwise, the girlier the better, right? Busted out the American Crafts glitter paper and adhesive pearls. The Tinkerbell image was just fussy cut out of some patterned paper. Lots and lots of purple paint to cover up the hunter green box. My Silhouette got used for the label and the scrolls, without which, I think this would be a much lesser project. Adds some class to a really theme-y item. Let me tell ya, once you start using a cutter like this and start appreciating the complete creative control you have on your designs, you really don't want to go back to anything else. I wish I had it when I first started out scrapbooking, would have saved me a lot of money and creative frustration. Big thumbs up from me.

Thanks for stopping by. Now click on over to see what the incredible Rhonna Farrer has to show you. I'm 100% sure it's going to be pretty darn amazing.
