There's so many wonderful sets being released by Papertrey Ink this month that they've had to call for a little extra help with the countdown posts. Voila! Here I am. Just my cup of tea too, as I always enjoy exploring all the different ways a product can be used. Kinda just keep rolling with it and let the ideas come. So much fun...try it and you'll know what I mean.
I'm going to show you three different projects using the new "Been Boo'ed" stamp set by by Beth Silaika. There's lots to do with this set other than the "Boo'ed Game" at Halloween. With several "too cute to spook" images just begging to be put on cards, you'll find yourself very busy.
First up, the ghost image. Do you think of vellum when you think of papercrafting ghosts? I do and that was my jumping off point with this card. Used Fillable Frame #4 die to cut out a window in the vellum. One little ghost pokes his head through to say hello. A jaunty angle on the witches hat makes him all that much more friendly. The rest of his comrades float on behind the vellum. On their way to haunt somebody else, no doubt.
Next, how about teaming up some previously released dies with this set? On a spooky Smokey Shadow night, bats fly through clouds with the moonlight shining down. Easy to accomplish with some cloud dies. The star border is stamped in Versamark for a subtle detail. And last, but not least, googily eyes. You cannot make Halloween cards without googily eyes! It would be like a jack-o-latern without a candle inside.
My final project is a fun one. When die cutting a label (in this case, Fillable Frames #1), place one cutting edge just above a fold in some cardstock before you cut. You'll be left with a hinge, allowing the label to open.
But only if you dare, because you never know what might be lurking underneath to scare you. BOO!
Two sentiments from the set and a ghost (there he is again!) make up the greeting on the inside. All in good fun.
Hope you enjoyed my projects. Craving any candy corn? I'm totally getting there. I wonder what it would taste like dipped in chocolate?:)
