March 2012 Release Projects

Back one more time this month for official countdown business with PTI. Time to show you all the release projects so you can make some informed decisions about your shopping list tonight at 10 PM EST. Let's get right to it.

Little Bitty Bird Additions and BB: Wrought Iron. I think I'm just going to post my favorite on first. This was also the last one I created. It took me awhile to find my angle, but when I did, I couldn't believe how well it came together. There is actually a rather old PTI stamp set (I had it pre-children, if you can believe that) that is the perfect companion to BB: Wrought Iron. Have you seen Sweet Love? I used only half of one of the oval labels to create an archway between two sections of fence, leaving room underneath for a bird bath from Little Bitty Bird Additions and a banner from Door to Door.  Seriously, how cute is that? Lots of Copic tracing along the fence in the lowest Sweet Blush Copic Trio number to give it some definition as well. I think it adds so much.

Heart 2 Heart #2. I've seen lots of requests for balloon stamps on the forum. We finally got an adorable one. These particular balloons are a surprise coming out of a Make a Wish Additions present. I'm liking this Harvest Gold, Aqua Mist, Fine Linen, and Melon Berry color combination as well.

Tremendous Treats Birthdays. You have to excuse my complete self indulgence on this card. Hank's been making everybody "love cards" in my office and has been dropping some hints about people who love him making love cards for him to receive. What Mama could ignore that request? I took the truck from Tremendous Treats Birthdays and masked off the presents so I could stamp hearts (Back Pocket Basics) in their place. The skyline was created by sponging ink on a mask that I created on my Silhouette. The new World's Greatest stamp set helped me out with my sentiment.

Back Pocket Basics. Don't think you need the pockets to use the accessory stamps! I just put them on 1.5"x1.5" squares. I like how you can still use the tab to add a little something. Simple Sentiments helped me add something to the narrow strip on the right hand side.

World's Greatest. Another take on the dress shirt. I used the tie die (oh...that's so weird to say), to create a tie negative in my shirt and backed the opening with Candy Cane Prints paper pack. Not just for Christmas. The new Card Base-ics 2 die helped me make it look like it was being gifted in a way. Button Boutique wordage helped to carry out the theme.

Framed Up #2. Such a useful series. Heather has a knack for creating those. I mostly used it to create a background for buttons, a sentiment, and a floral sprig from Back Pocket Basics. Another new color combo that I like--Soft Stone, Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold, Lemon Tart, and Summer Sunrise.

That's it for me. Hop on over to the other PTI blogs to be further inspired. I know I always am:

  11. That's too funny. When I saw the introduction of the Wrought Iron set, my first thought was, "that reminds me of the design from Sweet Love." Seriously! So thank you for showing it in action!

  14. Adorable bird card!
I was referred to your blog from a Silhouette forum where I had asked about cutting PTI cardstock with the Cameo. I don't have much luck with it at all, and I was wondering if you are able to do it successfully? I know you do a lot of cutting with your Silhouette and also use PTI products, so I really hope you can answer my question. (hopefully by email.. mine is linwe.luinweATgmailDOTcom )
    I'm at my wits end....thanks!
