For this feel better card, I inked up the triple line border strip first in Enchanted Evening, filling up the whole card front. Next, I inked up the same stamp with Hawaiian Shores ink and stamped in the places left between Enchanted Evening. The result is this two toned striped look. Not unlike a warm, knitted blanket. Perfect to send somebody who isn't feeling that well. Wouldn't you want to cuddle up with a knit blanket like this?
For my focal point on this card, I used the Heart Prints dies to cut a window and elevated the whole piece of the card front using dimensional adhesive. To add some interest in the empty space, I stamped the linear target style stamp from Heart Prints (great basic if you are looking to fill in some holes in your collection or get to that free shipping mark) and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Clear embossing powder was used with BB: Hearts on the Aqua Mist portion.
Heat embossing is factoring BIG into all my release projects this month. I took some advice from the PTI forum members about using fresh embossing powder and being careful not to handle your cardstock. Apparently the oil from your fingers attracts the powder, resulting in a messy heated image. Got to say, the advice is working like a charm. Very happy with the results. Thanks ladies!
And here's another heat embossed, winter themed card using BB: Striped Sweater. And snowflakes. Didn't I say that I can't stop using snowflakes with this background set? Perfect match. I alternated Autumn Rose and Plum Pudding ink on Lavender Moon cardstock (a favorite combination), only stamping half the card. A die cut snow slope from the In the Meadow Die Collection holds my sentiment from Dawn's upcoming Peaceful Pinecones. I heat embossed white powder on Soft Stone cardstock with the Snowflake Medley stamps and dies. Buttons in Winter Wisteria, Scarlet Jewel, and Autumn Rose add some color and interest.
I'll be back tomorrow with more. I'm still creating projects, so if there is something you'd like to see, leave a comment and I'll see if I can't squeeze it in. Some mentioned a pocket with sewn felt mittens? Coming up soon! And remember, BB: Striped Sweater, Striped Sweater Impression Plate, and the Shape It Up Series: Mitten die are available for purchase from Papertrey Ink on Oct. 15th. In the meantime, there is a lot more goodies by the PTI ladies. Click on over:

Erin, pretty cards. I love the color combo on the first card. I'll have to try the HS and EE inks together on Aqua Mist. Can't wait to see your mitten creation.

Fabulous background. Love your cards! Hate that word verification - its just about the most cumbersome and unreadable version out there. Sorry.
