One Last Bibliophile Card for You

I've got one last project (for now) using my new Bibliophile stamps and various dies from Papertrey Ink. Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments over the last few days both here on this blog and on Nichole's. I think there is quite a few of us stampers/readers out there. I feel in great company. For me, this is a stamp set that really speaks my own heart. I'm so happy it speaks to yours.

Bibliophile with Simply Jane and Book Club

This is not the first time we've had a book-themed set from Papertrey Ink. Each has their own unique spin. What is fabulous about them all is that you can find ways to make them work together. I'm just scratching the surface today. Look for more in the future.

Dawn released Book Club last fall. It is a stamp set using various quotes from classic literature to represent various card giving occasions. Works great with Bibliophile. And then we have Simply Jane, featuring all things Jane Austen. I added both sets to this card. I thought it would be fun to have the book with the Jane Austen silhouette on it be to be the one that is "speaking" the quotation using the large speech bubble from the Figure of Speech Frame Die. You could probably do this for several of the quotations from Book Club and have it work well.

All the book spine elements were embossed in gold, to give the look of fancy books. Which gave me a thought to maybe try Perfect Pearls down the line. I bet that would be pretty too. The word "Obsessed" on the Soft Blush spine I felt was super appropriate. It seems that people who love Jane Austen, really LOVE Jane Austen. It is actually just a book title I made up to go along with the Annie Dillard quote in Bibliophile. Describes a lot of us bibliophiles.

Before I close the book on the month  (pun intended), I thought I'd put this out there for you. It's all the book quotations included in Bibliophile. Generally speaking, the quotation stamps and the author stamps are separate. And because I used just about every square millimeter available to me on the $24 set, I had to get creative with placing the stamps on the sheet. That means you get lots of stamps, but things might not be grouped on your physical set in the most logical of manners. I figured you were all OK with as many stamps as possible, right? :) Refer back to this to see who said what. This is also included in the pull out sheet that comes with your stamp set, so if you decided to make Bibliophile part of your collection, you'll have a hard copy too.

OK. Off to start my day. Thanks again and happy stamping. Bibliophile and the dies will be available tomorrow night at 10 PM EST at Papertrey Ink. Looking forward to seeing your creations.

  5. If you could only see thru my computer and view my surroundings, obsessed would be an appropriate description. On second thought, maybe not a good idea. I am a Bibliophile - yes with a capital B. Love the stamps and your work!!!!
