Pumpkins and Chicken Scratch

I'm back with another card featuring the August Papertrey Ink Release for Day 2 of the countdown. I've got the Autumn Chicken Scratch Paper Pack releasing on the 15th. Sweet gingham in rich, fall tones...what's not to love?

Autumn Chicken Scratch Paper

This card features Autumn Chicken Scratch Paper in Orange Zest and pumpkins for Lizzie's Pumpkin Patch stamp set. They have a very homespun, primitive look to them. A quality that works well with Chicken Scratch.

The card would have looked fine without the addition of Chicken Scratch stamp set on the background. But I certainly love the touch those black "stitches" give to the card. Just takes it up a level. Helps lead your eyes to the pumpkins too. (Chicken Scratch Project #15 for me.)

That's it from me. Check Nichole's blog for more inspiration. And Autumn Chicken Scratch Paper will release on August 15th at 10 PM EST at www.papertreyink.com.

  1. Just amazing! Simple and straight forward, and still your card has loads of personality. Your Chicken Scratch set has gotten totally under my skin, and I've broken down and put it in my cart. (I've wanted since the beginning, but I make me wait for financial reasons.) It 's been so wonderful having you design for Papertrey. Just when you think things couldn't be more innovative, along comes Erin. Thank you.
